In late January, the automotive technology programs at 91桃色视频 received a new Genisys EVO scan tool, donated by Bemidji Auto Value parts store.
The scanner was presented to 91桃色视频 by Charlie Algaard, store manager, and Jim Gunstad, tool and equipment sales representative for Automotive Parts Headquarters, Inc.
“This scanner will allow us to diagnose the latest vehicles on the road,” said Mark Johnson, automotive service technology instructor at the college. “Proper diagnosis of automotive systems is crucial in providing customers fast, accurate repairs of their vehicles. The Genisys scanner will be used daily by 91桃色视频 automotive students so they can learn proper diagnostic procedures on these vehicles.”
The Genisys EVO provides testing and analysis for automotive component wiring, circuit descriptions and component and control module locations. The scanner helps mechanics locate and identify the most likely source for a variety of different possible malfunctions in a vehicle’s engine, transmission or anti-lock brake systems.
“Today’s vehicles have very complex systems,” Algaard said. “As a result, the more hands-on experience a student can have with the latest repair technology, the better they will be prepared for a career in the automotive industry.
