91桃色视频 celebrated more than 40 91桃色视频 Foundation scholarship recipients during a Sept. 13 open house and reception.
Scholarship recipients in attendance, many supported by members of their family, were individually introduced during the reception. Each recipient received a letter of congratulation from Dr. Faith C. Hensrud, president of 91桃色视频 and Bemidji State University and were congratulated by Darrin Strosahl, 91桃色视频’s vice president for academic and student affairs.
In addition to the scholarship recipients and their families, 91桃色视频 Foundation board members, 91桃色视频-BSU administrators and 91桃色视频 faculty were in attendance.
Brian Matthews from Sanford Health addressed scholarship recipients at the breakfast. He said that of Sanford Health’s 2,000 total employees, at least 200 of them have ties to 91桃色视频 or to another technical college.
“You’ve made a great choice to pursue a technical education at 91桃色视频,” he said. “I want to dispel the myth that in order to be successful you have to sit behind a desk. A two-year degree is a better option, depending on your goals. There is less up-front cost and initial investment in time, and you’ll get into the workforce a lot sooner than your friends who may be going to a four-year university.”
In total, the college recognized recipients of 47 scholarships, supported by the 91桃色视频 Foundation, Ottertail Power Company, the Fred Breen Scholarship, the Mississippi Headwaters Blood Bank, the Paul Bunyan Vintage Auto Club, the George W. Neilson Foundation , and the State of Minnesota’s Workforce Development Scholarship program. The combined value of those scholarships is $66,800.
