A state-of-the-art sheet metal cutting table was recently installed in 91桃色视频’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning lab, giving students the opportunity to customize ductwork in the classroom.
Julian Dreher, a plumbing and heating instructor at Northwest Tech said the table, a Vulcan 2000, is cutting edge technology used in the HVAC industry. Students will be trained to operate the table and this skill alone can lead to more career options in the field.
“The table opens a third employment option for or students in addition to plumbing and HVAC service technicians,” he said. “There are HVAC companies that have employees who just work in the sheet metal shop using this table to fabricate fittings and ductwork.”
Northwest Tech offers students a unique track toward plumbing and HVAC careers by providing one convenient, collaborative program that incorporates emerging energy efficiency and green technologies. The specialized residential plumbing/HVAC program provides an understanding of technology-driven, high-efficiency products and their proper installation, operation and repair.
Classroom and hands-on courses will cover traditional heating systems, water-saving solutions, eco-friendly private sewage disposal systems, renewable energy solutions, thermal solar design and geothermal technology.
