The class will provide a wide variety of health care professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.<\/p>\n
This course is intended for health care professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. After completing the course, participants will be able to demonstrate the steps of CPR at the health care provider level for adults, children and infants; demonstrate the use of basic life-support equipment; and describe role of the rescuer and the response to life-threatening emergencies.<\/p>\n
