He found it through an online search that led him to 91桃色视频&rsquo;s fully online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntcmn.edu\/career-paths\/health-care\/health-care-support\/degrees-credentials\/certificate-medical-coding\/\">Medical Coding Certificate program.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was looking for a medical coding program that I could complete remotely and not have to be put on a wait list,&rdquo; Patterson said.<\/p>\n<p>Patterson graduated in spring 2024 with academic honors, successfully balancing full-time work with his studies. With no prior experience in the medical field, he adjusted his schedule to meet the demands of coursework.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was working full time, and I had to rearrange my work schedule to give me time to do my school work,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;I had no history in medical studies.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Motivated by a goal to work remotely and complete a program quickly, Patterson finished the certificate in just two semesters.<\/p>\n<p>After passing his Certified Professional Coder exam, he was hired by Sanford Health as a remote physician services medical coder. He will mark one year with the company in August 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I like the people I work with,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;I especially like having a flex schedule and working from home.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The shift to remote work has opened up new opportunities. Patterson now coaches youth baseball and enjoys more quality time with his family &mdash; things he couldn&rsquo;t do while working nights in a factory.<\/p>\n<p>He recently returned to 91桃色视频 to speak with current medical coding students, sharing his journey and offering practical advice.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Make sure you have the ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Take the time to go through a program that gives you the best options for medical coding.
